Who we are

Dodone AI is a trading name of Ioannis Perrakis, a sole trader in the United Kingdom. Ioannis Perrakis is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: intros@dodone.co.uk.

The calculator

Figures you type into the calculator stay in your browser. They reach Dodone only if you choose to publish a calculation publicly or, with Dodone Pro, save it privately. Exports (PDF and CSV) are created on your device.

What we collect and why

• Account: your email address and sign-in records, to provide your account (contract). Your email is never shown publicly.
• Public name: an optional pseudonym shown on your publications; otherwise “Anonymous”.
• Publications: calculations you explicitly choose to publish, with a record of your consent. They are public by design until you unpublish or delete them.
• Private projects (Dodone Pro): calculations you save privately. Only you can see them.
• Billing: Stripe handles payments and works out any tax due. We store your Stripe customer and subscription references and status; we never see your card number. Stripe collects your billing address for tax purposes (contract and legal obligation).
• Reports: if you report a publication, we keep the report for moderation.
• Emails you send us: bug reports, improvement ideas, support and privacy requests arrive at intros@dodone.co.uk with your email address and whatever you write. We use them only to reply and to improve Dodone, and delete them when no longer needed (legitimate interests). The “Report a bug” and “Suggest an improvement” links only open a pre-filled email; nothing is stored on Dodone.
• Usage statistics: counted without cookies or anything stored on your device. Each visit is represented by a one-way hash of your IP address, mixed with a random value that changes daily and is deleted after two days, so visits cannot be linked across days or traced back to you. We record which kind of page was viewed (never your inputs, results or search terms). Raw events are kept for 90 days, then only daily totals (legitimate interests: understanding and improving the service).
• Security logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs, including IP addresses, to protect the service.

Who processes data for us

Supabase (database and sign-in; data stored in London), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments and tax) and Resend (sign-in emails). Some of these providers are based outside the UK; we rely on their standard data-transfer safeguards.

How long we keep it

Account data, publications and private projects are kept until you delete them or your account. If Dodone Pro ends, your private projects stay private and read-only; they are never published or deleted automatically. Payment records are kept by Stripe for as long as accounting and tax rules require.

Your rights

You can download all your data or delete your account at any time from your account page. You can also ask us to correct your data, object to processing, or ask questions at intros@dodone.co.uk. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
