The transparent ROI for AI engine
Transparent ROI scenarios for AI coding tools
Model the one-year economic effect of an AI coding tool on your engineering team. You can see every assumption. Two different valuations show side by side, and each figure has a full calculation trace.

How it works
Start from an example
The calculator starts with a fictional SaaS company. Replace its revenue, headcount, salaries and tool costs with your figures.
Set the productivity assumptions
Enter the net time saved on eligible work (or a measured output uplift), the adoption, and how much released time becomes extra output.
Read two valuations, then export
Compare scenarios and examine the trace. Then download a PDF or CSV with all the assumptions that you need to reproduce the result.
Two valuations, never added
Capacity-based value
The fully loaded cost of the engineer time that the tool releases and that engineers use for more work. It is an economic measure, not a payroll or cash saving.
Revenue-linked value
A hypothetical scenario: how extra engineering output can become revenue and contribution, with your stated assumptions. It is not a sales forecast.
Both values describe the same output gain. Dodone never adds them together, and neither value is a guaranteed minimum or maximum.

The counts come directly from the records of Dodone and refresh each hour. A dash means that there is no data yet. Dodone never shows estimated or invented figures.
Free calculator, optional Pro
The full calculator, advanced assumptions, sensitivity, exports and methodology are free. With a free account, you can also publish public calculations. Dodone Pro (£3.99 per month, coming soon) adds private projects.
Dodone is a scenario calculator that depends on your assumptions. The default figures are illustrative. They are not validated benchmarks. The methodology (DODONE-MOD-001, Version 1) is a controlled draft, and no independent party has audited it.
